The 134-acre Trexler Memorial Park is a municipal, outdoor recreation track for walking, running, and biking. The property also features a pond and creek, bringing in local bird enthusiasts.

The track is a 1.2-mile loop with an additional, optional offshoot that takes visitors uphill and back down for a total of 2.5 miles round trip.

Trexler Memorial Park is a key location for birders in the area, charting the eBird leaderboard at #5 hotspot and #4 species leaders in Lehigh County. Common birds include waterfowl like mallards, blue herons, and raptors like red-tailed hawks. Visitors can also catch glimpses of wildlife like turtles, foxes, and fish.

Off the main track, forested areas include tall spruce, native white oak, black walnut, and sweetgum. Visitors can find flowers throughout the park including irises, asters, and wingstem.

The name Trexler Memorial Park comes from Harry C. Trexler, the founder of many parks in the area, including Trexler Nature Preserve. He left his summer estate, Springwood Park, to the City of Allentown to become Trexler Memorial Park. His will also left annual and perpetual, significant contributions to his private foundation for the City to improve, extend, and enhance the parks.
