For those seeking peaks and finding their happy pace.
Between our Lehigh Valley-based Black River Sanctuary and South Mountain Preserve, your next happy place is out here waiting to be explored.
Let Wildlands’ environmental educators be your guide! September is peak summer fun, and we want to spend it with you, at the peak of a well-earned vista.

Opportunities to get out here

Tue., Sep. 16
3 – 6 P.M.
Challenge yourself to this rocky, 2-mile loop at Black River Sanctuary. You’ll be rewarded with a sweeping view of the Allentown skyline and the Lehigh Valley beyond.

Mon., Sep. 22
3 – 6 P.M.
This 5.5-mile loop reminds us why “mountain” is South Mountain Preserve’s middle name. It’s all worth it to take in the view at the top, enjoying the group’s company.
For as little as $6/day, you can wake up to trails like this! That’s right, for less than a fancy cup of coffee, you can take care of the trails you love. And if you donate today, we’ll see if we can take care of the coffee, too!
All online gifts thru Sep. 30 are entered to win a $50 coffee gift card from Let’s Go Coffee Company!
DID YOU KNOW?
The Lehigh Valley is losing open space at the rate of 2,000 acres per year.
In an ever-urbanizing backdrop, the endless mission of Wildlands Conservancy to protect these critical natural areas is more important now than ever before. Since 1973, Wildlands has permanently protected over 60,000 acres across 14 counties in the Lehigh Valley and Lehigh River watershed.
You help us steward that nature, improving stream miles, restoring wildlife habitat, and planting trees. You keep us on the ground, developing trail systems and educating the next generation of environmental stewards. Together, the Wildlands community creates lasting connections to nature.
