Reimert Memorial Bird Haven

Visitors here can enjoy a birding destination right in the heart of the Lehigh Valley. Reimert Memorial Bird Haven offers a walking trail along the side of Macungie Mountain through 11 acres of mature forest woodlands. The property was donated to Wildlands Conservancy for the express purpose of preserving and viewing important native bird habitat and is listed on the Lehigh Valley Audubon Society’s website as one of the top birding hotspots in the Valley.

    A wide array of birds use the interior forest for breeding and resting, such as Ovenbird and Keery, along with species like White-Breasted Nuthatch, Northern Cardinal, Dark-eyed Junco, Yellow-shafted Northern Flicker, Hairy Woodpecker, Downey Woodpecker, Red-bellied Woodpecker, Blue Jays and more. Conditions are prime for spotting more uncommon birds such as Cerulean Warblers, Worm-eating Warblers, Sharp-shinned Hawks, and Scarlet Tanagers.
