Delaware State Forest, totaling at 83,519 acres, touches Monroe, Pike, Northampton, and Carbon counties. The Delaware State Forest boasts a wealth of natural features and year-round recreational opportunities. Beginning at a trailhead off Route 402, just 0.2 miles south of Saw Creek Rd, we will hike about 4 miles total. Starting at the trailhead, hike down to the Monroe County line on the Thunder Swamp Trail towards Bushkill Creek. What goes down must come up! The Thunder Swamp Trail System altogether spans 26 miles, mostly in Pike County. This area is known to have a wealth of ticks, so please dress accordingly. This is one of the more difficult hikes, both in length and elevation.

This program is full, please contact Brandon Swayser at bswayser@wildlandspa.org to be put on a waitlist.
