Project Feeder Watch: Black-capped Chickadee – April 2

Sunday, April 2 at 10 am

Calling all citizen scientists to help Wildlands Conservancy with Project FeederWatch, a winter-long survey of birds that visit feeders throughout North America. We’ll count the birds seen at our feeders from November through early April and send our counts to the Cornell Lab of Ornithology. The data will help scientists track broad scale movements of winter bird populations and long-term trends in bird distribution and abundance. Anyone interested in birds can participate. Each week, we’ll visit with one of our education birds and learn how to attract specific species to your own feeders. This week’s focus will be on the black-capped chaickadee. Fee: $5.00
