Join us Sunday, October 1 for a Conservation Project Tour of our Pocono Preserves!

Join us for all or a portion of the day’s events.

Maple Tract Preserve, 10:00 am – noon

Maple Tract Preserve

Peat bog area at Maple Tract

We’ll meet at Wildlands’ Maple Tract Preserve, located at 271 Stoney Hollow Road in Long Pond, at 10:00 am. We will explore trail work, a dam removal site and wetland habitat on a moderate, three-mile guided hike.




Lunch noon – 1:30 pm

Relax and refuel with a tailgate-style picnic at Maple Tract Preserve.


Thomas Darling Preserve, 2:00 pm – 4:30 pm

Golden-winged warbler habitat restoration at Thomas Darling

We will caravan to the Thomas Darling Preserve. While there, we’ll enjoy a moderate, three-mile guided hike over mostly level ground while learning about Wildlands’ habitat management efforts focused on the Golden-winged warbler and Northern flying squirrel – two at-risk species.
