Help Guide the Future of the Lehigh River Water Trail Access & Stewardship Plan!

In 2015, Wildlands successfully implemented a large-scale Lehigh River water trail enhancement project to improve river access and the user experience both on and off the water. This was accomplished through infrastructure improvements, access-point signage and updates to our Water Trail website and map.

To build upon this, we’re next developing the Lehigh River Water Trail Access & Stewardship Plan. This plan will address current needs and opportunities for public access along the river, while also outlining management practices to improve conservation, recreation and stewardship throughout the Lehigh River Corridor.

Lehigh River Water Trail Stakeholder Meeting

Major stakeholders came together in late October for presentations about the conservation history of our Lehigh River watershed, along with the current focus on water trails in Pennsylvania. Facilitated discussion around questions like those in the survey below followed, engaging the stakeholders in forward-thinking dialogue.
