This access point is separated from the village of Parryville by Route 248 and a steep hillside. Both sides of the river are steep, tree-covered slopes. A trucking company is located adjacent to the canal and river on the inland side of the watered canal. A Pennsylvania Turnpike overpass crosses the river just north of this access point. The canal is watered from Lock #11 south of this point to the Lock #13 ruins at the confluence of the Pohopoco Creek, the river, and the old canal. An aqueduct over the Pohopoco Creek no longer exists. NEXT ACCESS POINT: 1.2 miles (West Bowmans)
