
This access point is located in Allentown Canal Park, which contains a 2.5-mile section of watered canal running parallel to the Lehigh River. Aside the northern-most section of the park are a light-manufacturing plant, an active railroad, and urban neighborhoods. Allentown's downtown area, the Hamilton Street Bridge, and surrounding neighborhoods are visible from the upstream (northern) end of the park. All other parts of the park are wooded and isolated.
