Participants: Easy access to trash along the lawn near the edge of the creek, though access to trash caught in roots and vegetation on stream bank best removed by volunteers with boots or waders. Area relatively flat, but 3-foot streambanks severely steep. Appropriate cleanup site for a mix of ages.

Garbage Drop Location: Contact Allentown’s Recycling & Bureau of Solid Waste to alert them that you would like to organize a cleanup. Provide them with information about the event and they will inform you where to put the trash to make sure it gets picked up promptly. Separate out tires, scrap metal/appliances and cans and bottles. Free trash bags and gloves available too. Always tightly close trash bags so the garbage is secure in the wind. Location of Park: Southeastern area of Allentown. Near intersection of Route 145 and Susquehanna Street. Two ways to access park: north end and south end of park. To get to the north end, take Basin Street & turn onto Auburn Street. Turn left onto 4 th Street. Parking lot at dead end. To start at the south end (main section of park), take Mack Boulevard and turn right on Juniata Street. Restrooms on left and then parking lot.
