WE WANT TO CLEAN UP JORDAN CREEK! (A tributary to the Little Lehigh Creek)
JORDAN PARK, ALLENTOWN:
 Location of Park: Northern Allentown. Near intersection of Route 145 and New York Avenue (Jordan Park behind ALDI store at end of New York Avenue). Ample parking.
Location of trash in park: Start cleanup directly upstream of the section of the stream walled with cement. Most of trash on the lawn and area near creek. Rubber boots to get the trash at the edges could be helpful for some of the volunteers. Mostly trash from park users like soda bottles and snack food wrappers.
Participants: Easy access to trash. Good for small group only as the park area is relatively small and the litter will be easy to remove. Appropriate for younger children.

Garbage Drop Location: Contact Allentown’s Recycling & Bureau of Solid Waste to alert them that you would like to organize a cleanup. Provide them with information about the event and they will inform you where to put the trash to make sure it gets picked up promptly. Separate out tires, scrap metal/appliances and cans and bottles. Free trash bags and gloves available too. Always tightly close trash bags so the garbage is secure in the wind.
