Bethlehem Youth to Benefit From Experiences in the Outdoors

Adventure Camp Bethlehem Supported by LV Community Foundation

Wildlands Conservancy received a $3,500 grant from the Outdoor Recreation Fund for Youth of the Lehigh Valley Community Foundation in March 2015 to help support Adventure Camp; outdoor, educational programming for youth ages 13-15, in the City of Bethlehem this summer.

Working with community partners, Wildlands will deliver a full week of, hands-on experiences, including a canoe trip on the Lehigh River, hiking the Appalachian Trail, rock climbing, whitewater rafting, fishing and fly-casting. Each activity emphasizes environmental stewardship, health, local history and social responsibility. At the camp’s conclusion, the students will be introduced to natural areas close to their homes.
